Part 1 Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose and definitions)

These terms govern the conditions and procedures for using Mijeonsil (the "Service"), and the rights and obligations of the Company and the User.

• Company — the operator identified above.
• User — an individual or legal entity that creates an account and uses the Service.
• Instruction — a work request the User enters into the Service.
• Deliverable — a document, image, video or other output produced by AI models in response to an Instruction.
• Work wallet — the prepaid usage balance the User holds.
• BYOK — "bring your own key", where the User registers their own AI model API key and is billed directly by that model provider.

Article 2 (Formation of contract)

The contract is formed when the User accepts these terms and creates an account. Persons under 14 years of age may not use the Service.

Article 3 (Scope of the Service)

The Company provides:

• Orchestration that assigns several AI models to distinct roles and runs a task through them
• A viewable meeting process, a record of verification and revision, and electronic approval
• Registration and reference of documents and links, deliverable export, and team sharing
• Image and video generation (optional features)

Article 4 (Rights in deliverables, and their limits)

We state the following plainly.

• Deliverables are AI-generated and may be factually wrong. The Service runs a verification phase, but that does not eliminate error. Any consequential decision requires human review.
• Output on legal, medical, tax, investment or similar matters is reference material and does not replace professional advice. This applies equally to opinions voiced by the in-service "legal" and "finance" characters, which are personas, not licensed professionals.
• The same instruction may produce different results each time. This is inherent to AI models.
• The User is responsible for checking that a deliverable does not infringe third-party copyright or trademarks.

Article 5 (Fees and payment)

• The Service combines a subscription with a work wallet. Running a task draws down the wallet.
• The amount shown is the amount charged. It includes the underlying AI model cost and our operating cost. An estimate is shown before execution and the final figure after.
• Image and video generation is billed separately, with the amount shown and confirmed before generation.
• Under BYOK, model usage is billed to the User by the model provider directly, and the Company does not charge for that portion.
• The Service is prepaid. When the wallet is exhausted, work stops and no new task starts until the wallet is topped up. Nothing is billed beyond the wallet balance.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. The Company does not store card details.

Article 6 (Refunds)

• A subscription is refunded in full if requested within 7 days of payment and the Service has not been materially used.
• Where there is usage, we refund pro rata for the remaining term, less AI usage already executed.
• Unused work wallet balance may be refunded on request.
• Dissatisfaction with the quality of an AI deliverable is not by itself grounds for automatic refund, because the model calls were genuinely incurred. If a defect in our Service prevented a result from being produced, we credit that amount back to your wallet.
• Refunds are executed by Lemon Squeezy under its consumer policy and applicable Korean e-commerce law.

Article 7 (User obligations — prohibited conduct)

• Entering another person's personal or confidential information without authority
• Impersonating others, or use intended to fabricate and spread falsehoods
• Attempting to generate illegal content, child sexual abuse material, or discriminatory or hateful expression
• Automated calls at a volume that degrades the Service for other users
• Reverse-engineering the Service, or circumventing API keys and authentication
• Reproducing our characters, artwork or brand without permission for use in a separate service

On confirmed breach the Company may restrict use after notice. Where the breach is unlawful or urgent, we may restrict immediately and notify afterwards.

Article 8 (Changes and discontinuation)

The Company may change or discontinue parts of the Service. If a paid feature is discontinued we give at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused balance.

Article 9 (Limitation of liability)

The Company takes due care in providing the Service but is not liable for:

• The accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose of AI deliverables
• Consequences of the User relying on a deliverable as-is
• Damage caused by outages at external services such as AI model providers or the payment processor
• Damage arising from the User's own failure to safeguard their account

Where the Company is found liable, damages shall not exceed the amount the User paid to the Company in the three months preceding the event. This cap does not apply to the Company's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor where a mandatory provision of applicable law provides otherwise.

Article 10 (Termination)

The User may terminate at any time. On termination the account and stored material are deleted under the procedure set out in Part 3. Export anything you need before terminating.

Article 11 (Governing law and disputes)

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall first be pursued in good faith by negotiation; failing that, they shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Where the User is a consumer, the court of the User's domicile also has jurisdiction. Nothing here removes consumer rights that are mandatory in your country of residence.

Part 2 Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

What we never collect: national identification numbers, card numbers, or bank account numbers. Payment details are handled by Lemon Squeezy and never reach our servers.

Legal basis (where the GDPR applies): performance of the contract for account and work data; legal obligation for billing records; legitimate interest for security logs; consent for optional items such as your own API keys. You may withdraw consent at any time.

2. Third parties and processors

To do the work, data is passed to the following. This is inherent to how the Service operates.

Each provider handles data under its own terms. Where a provider offers an API path that is excluded from model training, we use it.

International transfers: your data is processed outside the Republic of Korea and, for users in the EEA or UK, outside those territories. Transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. By using the Service you acknowledge that instructions and reference material you submit are transmitted to the model providers listed above.

3. Your rights

• Access and correction — directly in account settings.
• Deletion — at Settings → Data you can immediately delete uploaded source text, images and other categories.
• Retention control — set retention for uploaded material to 7, 30, 90 or 180 days, or indefinite.
• Portability — export deliverables as Excel, slides or Markdown.
• Restriction, objection, and erasure of the account — contact us at the address below.

If you are in the EEA or UK you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In the Republic of Korea, the Korea Internet & Security Agency operates a privacy complaint centre (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118).

4. Safeguards

• Passwords are stored one-way hashed with bcrypt and cannot be decrypted.
• AI model API keys you register are stored under symmetric encryption (Fernet).
• All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
• Data is separated per account; only material shared to a team is visible to that team's members.

Part 3 Data Handling in Detail

This part goes beyond what the law requires. It states plainly what is kept, where, and for how long.

1. Files you upload

HWP and Office documents pass through a document conversion service we operate. The original is not retained after conversion.

2. Retention by category

Why deliverables are never auto-deleted: a deliverable is work you paid to produce. Having it vanish silently after 30 days would itself be the incident. So we exclude deliverables from auto-deletion and give you the means to remove them yourself.

3. Storage

Each plan has a storage limit. A text deliverable is roughly 50 KB and barely registers against it, but one generated image is worth about 30 text deliverables.

Past the limit, new saves stop and existing deliverables remain. We do not bill for overage — instead we point you to Settings → Data to clear older images first.

4. On account deletion

• On request we destroy the account and work data within 30 days. The delay is a grace period against mistaken deletion.
• During the grace period you may ask us to restore it.
• Payment and settlement records are kept separately for 5 years under Korean e-commerce law. Only the fact of the transaction remains — not the content of your work.
• Data already transmitted to AI model providers is handled under their policies and cannot be recalled by us.

5. Team sharing

Within a team, material shared at team scope is visible to that team's members. Personal material is not shared. If you leave a team your personal material stays with you and only your access to the team's shared material ends.
